Maserati: The Grand Prix, Sports and GT cars model by model from 1926 to 2003

by Maurizio Tabucchi

Published by Giorgio Nada Editore – June 2003

All Maserati’s production, from 1926 to 2002: racing cars, road cars, engines for cars and boats that were built by other constructors as well as commercial vehicles of the war years, all in a single work that includes the story of the Maserati brothers.

From 1887, the year in which Alfieri was born, until the establishment of OSCA plus the story of racing in the early Twenties with Isotta Fraschini and Diatto up to 1992 and the Barchetta.

The work contains detailed technical lay-outs of all the models produced by Maserati, the sequential chassis numbers of all cars manufactured each year, a description of the modifications introduced in the course of production as well as the exact number of examples built of each model.

Vintage pictures have been published almost exclusively throughout so they are completely credible, while the photographs of cars conserved or restored have been carefully selected.

Thanks to the quantity of data and through a series of indications and elements of comparison easily verifiable, it became particularly easy to identify every single Maserati and evaluate personally the correspondence of the various components. A story told through the products of one of the most glorious car manufacturers the world has ever known.
